BP - US in no position to 'throw stones
----------------------------
US in no position to 'throw stones'
The response of the American public and its political leaders to the oil spill in the Gulf perfectly illustrates why 'people in glass houses should not throw stones'. BP and its corporate associates certainly deserve severe censure for their failure to provide adequate safeguards for their hazardous operations, and their behaviour brings to mind the recent reckless folly of the banks. However, the resulting damage is hardly a 'drop in the ocean' compared to the impact of America's contribution to global atmospheric pollution resulting from the combustion of fossil fuels.
At least BP has offered fulsome apologies, is compensating those affected, and is making strenuous efforts to prevent further damage. Has the US accepted responsibility for the impacts of its energy profligacy on climate change? Has it committed itself to providing full restitution for the now well documented misery which global warming is already inflicting on the world's poor? Is it making determined efforts to decarbonise its economy and life-style? In each case, we think not. It really is in no position to 'throw stones'.

The Writings of Gilad Atzmon
Gilad Atzmon was born in Israel in 1963 and had his musical training at the Rubin Academy of Music, Jerusalem (Composition and Jazz). As a multi-instrumentalist he plays Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Baritone Saxes, Clarinet and Flutes. His album Exile was the BBC jazz album of the year in 2003. He has been described by John Lewis on the Guardian as the “hardest-gigging man in British jazz". His albums, of which he has recorded nine to date, often explore political themes and the music of the Middle East.

Is the internet about to be regulated and free speech controlled !!!!
Time Magazine proposes draconian control of the internet to stifle free speech....
“The internet is the only thing preventing total tyranny right now, and they are trying everything they can to kill free speech. There is NO grass roots movement anywhere calling for government intervention in the internet. It is not broken. It works too well, that is a problem for tyrants,”

The "War on Terror" Has Been About Scaring People, Not Protecting Them

The Decade of Tyrrany -
Loss of basic freedoms has spurred a mass awakening, next decade will be defined by restoration of liberties

During the first nine years of the new millennium we have been witness to a rapid erosion of freedom. Our basic liberties have been systematically denigrated and diluted by a vast expansion of coordinated global tyranny.
The decade is not over yet, there is still another year to go, however, given that the mainstream media is obsessively compiling it’s own decade lists, we felt it necessary to draw up our own to highlight the major events that have shaped the world we now live in and the future we face.

Stop the database state!!! Say NO2ID
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT 'ID CARDS'
There's a lot of confusion about the government's proposed national identity scheme, and it doesn't help that the Home Office often gives misleading information. The 'database state' is what we call the tendency to try to use computers to manage society by watching people. There are many interlocking government plans that do this. Together they mean officials poking into your private life more than ever before. Check out the Say NO2ID web site for more information and take action if possible. Say no to ID
